Projects

Here’s what we can do for you:

Kitchen · Loma Vista Drive, Beverly Hills

Closed galley, opened into the dining room

The wall came out. New island in Calacatta with a mitred waterfall edge, so the veining runs over the corner and down the leg in one piece. Handmade tile to the ceiling, plaster hood, white oak floor running straight through.

Wondering if your wall can go? That is a load question, and one visit answers it.

Kitchen · Hancock Park, Los Angeles

1920s house, kitchen that belongs in it

Inset cabinetry, deep green island, granite picked slab by slab. Panel-ready fridge, apron sink, display cases lit from inside.

The trim is where these go wrong. Crown and hood were run to match the profiles already in the house, which is the whole difference between a period kitchen and a new kitchen sitting in an old one.

Primary bathroom · Beverly Park, Beverly Hills

Curbless shower, no step, no lip

Large-format porcelain on the floor and walls, solid bench, floating white oak vanity so the floor runs unbroken.

Curbless is a waterproofing job before it is a design one. Membrane past the opening, floor recessed into the framing, fall kept inside the shower. Done that way it does not leak. Done the cheap way you are tearing it out in three years.

Primary bathroom · The Flats, Beverly Hills

Dark bathroom, done properly

Charcoal stone floor to ceiling, floating vanity, LED hidden under the toe so nobody is hunting for a switch at 3am. Brass against matte dark walls.

Dark rooms show every bad joint. That is why most contractors talk you out of them. Set the tile out properly and you get this instead.
